A student, sometimes a programmer/developer/engineer. A geek at heart.
Hello! My name is Yong Wen and I hail from Singapore. I work with computers daily and in my future job. From my internet presence, you can probably tell that I have my way around with computers. Indeed. I am currently a student of Information Systems Engineering at Imperial College, courtesy of sponsorship from IDA Singapore under the National Infocomm Scholarship.
I work with websites (PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and, occasionally, desktop applications (C/C++, C#, Java) in my free time as hobbies and favours for others. I game a fair bit and seem to have a love for FPS and RPG.
I like: Android, Steam (and Valve), music, Google, Physics and the natural world, Lost, a good plot, Object Oriented Programming, Web Scripting, socializing and more.
I take photos too, though I’m an amateur and still need time to sharpen my skills.
Please feel free to contact me for anything.
(pronounced ark-pe-rience)
(n) knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered, or undergone
The word “Acperience” was inspired by the eponymous song by Hardfloor.
The acperience.net domain hosts sites of several friends and family who share the belief that life is all about experiences. You gain new ones and learn from older experiences. acperience.net is our take on the cliché word “experience”. We want to shape our own experience. And we call those experience “acperience”.
Contrary to some beliefs, this site is not inspired by nor affiliated with the “Ango-Chinese” family of schools in Singapore.
